This year, Mrs Mays decided it was time to focus on pure fruit snacks, but not as we know them. With school canteens and lunch box items under the microscope recently, they decided to produce a range of freeze dried fruit chips; the very same fruit astronauts take into space! Freeze drying is an amazing process whereby the fruit is placed in a vacuum and water is extracted from the fruit in an extremely efficient process. The result is a deliciously light, sweet and crisp fruit chip with a real crunch when you bite!
Mrs Mays Trio Bars are a delicate balance of ingredients which delivers the brilliant fresh flavours of the nuts, seeds and pure dried fruit (not the oiliness, chewiness or sweetness of other nut bars). Mrs Mays Trio bars were borne out of the lack of really great tasting, genuinely healthy, snack bars in the market.
They are called 'Trio' because they contain a perfect combination of three nuts, three seeds and three fruits. The nuts and seeds are slow-dry roasted and then mixed with dried fruits. The result is a fresh, crisp snack bar that is power-packed with flavour and nutrients. And the taste is unbelievably good.
Made from pure fruit, Annies Allfruit bars are made of 4 - 5 layers of air-dried fruit strips. One bar is equivalent to a quarter kilogram of fresh fruit. They are a good source of fibre, are low GI and contain no sulphur, gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, added sugar, artificial flavours or colouring.
